The Whole Christ

"In Revelation 22, He is revealed as “the bright
Morning Star” (v. 16), “the First and the Last, the
Beginning and the End” (v. 13). He is the triumphant
Lion of Judah (see Revelation 5:5). He is the Ruler of
the kings of the earth, crowned with many crowns.
With justice He judges and makes war. His eyes are
like blazing fire, His feet like glowing bronze and His
mighty voice like the sound of rushing waters. Yet
within the very same passages, we encounter Him as
the Lamb who was slain. Christian worship must
contain both the cross and the crown."

Good Fruit

“I am the vine, you are the branches.  Those who remain in me, and I in them will produce much fruit.  For apart from me you can do nothing.”  John 15:5

"Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires." Romans 8:5

"for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth" Ephesians 5:9

Headship Vs Leadership

Differences between Headship and Leadership.

Headship responsibility falls solely on the man.
Headship provides the covering for the wife's leadership skills.
Headship requires the man to understand that he himself is under the headship of Christ.
Headship in marriage should replicate the headship of Christ.
The head understands that the buck stops with him.
The head oversees the entire home and marriage.
The head is the final arbiter in deciding direction for the family.
The head is the final point of authority in the home.

Leadership is a natural gift to influence people.
Leadership is closely connected to abilities and personality.
Leadership can be a combination of skills from the husband and the wife.
Leadership can be predominant in one of the spouses.
Leadership must be recognized and released by the head of the home (the man) to be effective.
Leadership responsibilities can be recognized and released in children when they reach maturity.

For such a time as this...

The atmosphere was laced with joy, anticipation, and God's holy presence. You can feel how the Lord had been in the building ready to prepare His ladies for an encounter with Himself.  What made this conference stand out above the rest, was the prayer covering.

Before the  ENC Women's Conference, ladies on the Spiritual Life Committee were given a list that had the names of the ladies that had registered. Each of those ladies were prayed for out loud, by name. What a difference! The prayers that were lifted up to God, I'm sure were filled with faith, scripture, passion for change, longing for presence, and a commitment to intercede.

God has been echoing to me that it is prayer that will change the circumstances. You see, giving God time in prayer is giving Him your attention and your heart. The enemy wants to stop prayer from happening from the minute you wake up to the minute you lay down, he is battling against you for your attention and your heart.

As I lift up the names of those in my congregation, I know, God has positioned me to intercede. In prayer, I can remind the enemy of his defeat. How he is powerless against the children of God. How I have been given authority to tear down his strongholds and claim the promises of the Lord.

I have a position for a purpose and I have a voice for victory. Jesus intercedes for me, and in prayer I intercede for others. My family, my loved ones, my friends, and my brothers and sisters in Christ.

"For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?" Esther 4:14

We were blessed to hear speakers like, Jennifer Beckham and Percy Moran. They gracefully shared their stories with openness, in hopes that Christ would shine through. That's exactly what happened.
